Los Angeles Volleyball Organization Response to COVID-19

Dear LAVO Community,

The state of our communities both locally, regionally and around the globe feels quite surreal to us and sad. We hope what we are facing is a once-in-a-lifetime global pandemic event and that you are doing what you can for yourselves and your loved ones, to stay safe and healthy.

We have wonderful, dedicated people on the Leadership team here at LAVO, and our priority and responsibility is always to the safety of our members and volunteers of this organization. All of us have been monitoring the latest information regarding COVID-19 at all levels (regionally, state and federal) including our venue partners and sister organizations.

Based on current affairs and the ever-changing uncertainty regarding the current COVID-19 virus pandemic, sadly, we are postponing and cancelling all currently scheduled programming. To be clear, programming includes:

  • Open Play at all locations (postponed)
  • Spring League 2020 (postponed)
  • Gold Rush 2020 (postponed)
  • Spring Challenge 2020 (cancelled)

Our programming has been consistent and steady for nearly 10 years now, so this is a novel decision to make as an organization, but these are unprecedented circumstances for the world. We believe this to be the best decision to not only help with the containment of the virus, but to also alleviate and avoid any financial impact to our players and organization.

We will be processing full refunds in the next two weeks for any payments/transactions already made. Thank you for your continued support and understanding and we will keep you posted once this troubling situation subsides.

For any additional questions and/or concerns, you may reach us at info@playlavo.org.

Thank you and stay safe,

Ray Robles
President
