Welcome to the Spring Challenge Tournament, the annual women's volleyball tournament in San Diego, CA. This tournament features fun and competitive teams from various regions, providing the opportunity to compete against opponents nationwide.
LAVO is the organizer and host of the tournament. Women's division is not sanctioned by NAGVA and all players do NOT have to be a current member of NAGVA to participate.
Only the team payment for the registration fee is collected on the LAVO site, and all tournament details will also be provided on the site. The team captain is responsible for rostering all their players with LAVO.
Please be sure to bring ID with you to the tournament. Your ID will be verified at registration to make sure your name matches your profile. No ID equals no participation in the tournament.

TEAM FEE
$495 per team*
Pricing starts March 21, 2018.
ADD PLAYER
$60 per additional player
No limit for additional players.
*A team consists of seven (7) players.

Divisions
Division caps will be not be adjusted until April 1, 2018.
If a division does not fill by that date, wait-listed teams from other divisions will be confirmed for the tournament in the displayed wait-list order. If the divisions are full and there are enough teams on the waitlist, we may offer to open a third division.

Game Format
Tournament Play
- Pool Play – consists of 40 to 45 minute matches; inclusive of a 5 minute warm-up. Two 4-25 point games will be played in each match (27 pt cap).
- Top seeded teams will break off to advanced for Sunday elimination rounds.
- Peer-to-Peer referring is required in pool play. Referring or playing teams that are tardy will be penalized as follows:
- 5 min delay will forfeit the first game;
- 10 min will forfeit the entire match.
- If you’re the referee team, the game forfeits will be accounted for at the end of pool play.
Elimination Rounds
- Double elimination schedule.
- USAV R-1s may be provided.
- All awards will be presented at each respective site.
Awards
- Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams along with 5 All-Star Awards and an MVP in each division.
