Assist in recruiting quality adult players onto the team and conduct tryouts.
Organize and lead all mandatory practices, Tuesdays, 7PM-10PM
Assist with budgetary responsibilities including tournament participation fees, uniforms, team travel, and equipment.
Assist with community fund-raising efforts and public relations.
Be present at the National tournament as a team coach with no other responsibilities.

Requirements

Significant knowledge and experience in the sport of volleyball. (College and Club coaching experience preferred).
Organize groups effectively and break down a skill and explain it so players can understand and perform the skill.
Enjoy working with a variety of people including, venue staff, adults, and community members.

Compensation

$20-$30 per hour, DOE

Refund Policy

Full refunds will be issued to players who do not make it on a team prior to the start of the first season game. After that, no refunds will be issued to confirmed players who withdraw from the league/tournament for any reason.

RP-A

Refund Policy

Cancellations made over 30 days before the tournament will receive 100% of the registration fee.

Cancellations made under 30 days but before 14 days before the tournament will receive 50% of the registration fee.

Registration fees are forfeited for cancellations less than 14 days before the tournament.

RP-B

Refund Policy

A refund request made 30 days or more from the tournament start date will receive 100% of the registration fee.

A refund request made under 30 days but greater than 15 days from the tournament start date will receive 50% of the registration fee.

Registration fees are nonrefundable within 14 days of the tournament start date.

RP-N

Refund Policy

Refund Policy

Captain will receive 100% of the Team Fee if request is made 14 days prior to the start of season date. Captain will receive 50% of the Team Fee if request is made less than 14 days but greater than 7 days prior to the start of season date. Team fees are forfeited if the start of season date is less than 7 days.

Deposits of team fees are non-refundable.

LAVO will not issue and is not responsible for refunds to confirmed players who withdraw from the league during the season for any reason.

RP-LS

Officials

Peer-to-peer referring is required during the season. Non-playing officials will be provided for at finals. Each team is required to have a certified Scorekeeper and a certified Referee on the team roster.

Certification may be obtained by the following:

Certified by a recognized organization such as USAV and NAGVA. ID (proof of certification is required) for both scorekeepers or R1.
Attend a LAVO clinic on scorekeeping. Watch the Scoring Clinic prior to attending.
Attend a LAVO clinic on R-1 (watch the Scoring Clinic prior to attending) or demonstrate your knowledge hand signals and understanding of rules of being an R-1 to the League Manager.

OF-LAVO

Officials

Each team is required to have a certified Scorekeeper and a certified Referee on the team roster. Certification may be obtained by going to the NAGVA website and completing the examination. This is a requirement per NAGVA regulations.

Uniforms

Uniform Policy

Uniforms are required for all teams as this helps with the referee and scorekeeper assignment.

All participating teams must wear same color and numbered uniform/jersey attire. T-shirts or any same-colored option is acceptable.
Players' jerseys must be marked with numbers on the front and on the back.
Numbers shall be located in such a position that they are clearly visible and shall be a color contrasting to that of the jersey.
Liberos must have a contrasting color to the rest of the team.

Need jerseys?

LAVO has acquired a limited number of sets of jerseys to loan out for the season if a team is in need. A $100 deposit is required, but is refundable upon return of all jerseys at the end of the season.

LAVO has preferred pricing with a local business, Stitch Me, on uniforms. Rates are $17 per jersey; that includes the shirt, and numbering (front and back). Please contact Pablo at Stitch Me and let him know you are with LAVO and you are wanting to order jerseys.
